Marian Anderson: 75th Anniversary of the Lincoln Memorial Concert

75 years ago on Easter Sunday, Marian Anderson made history by singing on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial after the Daughters of the American Revolution refused her the stage at Constitution Hall. She talks about this and more with George Shirley at WQXR, New York City's classical radio station, which you can find here. Listeners will hear Anderson speak carefully with a cadence and diction that is little heard today.
