The Artist's Journey by Stephen Pressfield

Oh, this post is going to get to the point real fast.

Learning to sing?

You need this book.

Learning to teach?

You need this book.

Starting a business?

You better believe you need this book.

Writing a book?

Hell yeah, you better get this book.

Pressfield makes the point—one with which I agree—that there’s a “place” from which all creative endeavors emanate. I “know” this because how he describes the process is how I feel when I am conducting research—I have the queer feeling that it is looking for me.

So different from the fact-based approach, isn’t it?

It never ceases to amaze that that those of us who are in the business of singing are hell-bent on left-braining everything, when, in fact (and feeling), singing happens—when it happens—out of the blue. That’s when you know it’s right: when it seems to drop into your head—literally.

This book will start you on a journey to your Self and help you find your Voice.

GET IT.
