A Masterclass with Benita Valente

Benita Valente ((born October 19, 1934)

I found a masterclass that Benita Valente gave in 2011 to the New York Singing Teachers Association. Curiously, I was in the room back then, watching and listening.

I even blogged about it, which you can find here. But why read what I have to say when you can listen to the whole thing yourself?

Do that here.

A more generous, thoughtful, intelligent, and kind singer you will never find.

Benita Valente studied with Margaret Harshaw for sixteen years before studying with Marlena Malas for several years.
